Commercial lending for many Mutual ADIs is viewed as outside of their traditional mortgage and personal lending core business. However, commercial lending, relying on a business rather than employment for serviceability together with more complex legal issues, requires a special skill set in order to properly credit assess new loans as well as ongoing credit management of existing loans.
This specialist course, targeted at the commercial lending businesses of Credit Unions and Building Societies, will provide you with the framework and a working knowledge of best practice commercial credit risk management and of the issues to be addressed including forms of business organisation, why businesses borrow, analysis of business strategy and management, analysis of business financial statements and common loan structures.
